2008 Harley Davidson FLHRSE4 Screamin’ Eagle Road King – Motorbike Bicycle

FLHRSE Screamin’ Eagle® Road King®
The FLHRSE4 Screamin’ Eagle Road King returns to reign over the touring motorcycle realm in 2008 as part of the Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) line.  The
Screamin’ Eagle Road King is born into royalty as a Harley-Davidson FLHR Road King, which now includes a six-gallon fuel tank and cruise control, primed for long-distance riding. The Screamin’ Eagle Road King has the largest-displacement Harley-Davidson production engine, the 110-cubic inch (1800cc) Twin Cam 110, a high-performance V-Twin engine with immense power and torque.

This is my most recent acquisition – a 105th Anniversary Screamin’ Eagle Road King purchased at Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson in Conyers, Georgia.  The CVO program was inaugurated in 1999 and the Road King has been selected for CVO upgrades on four of the succeeding model years. The 2008 Screamin’ Eagle Road King designator is FLHRSE4 – Harley-speak for
Screamin’ Eagle Road King 4th Generation.  The Screamin’ Eagle Road King is made by the Custom Vehicle Operations section of Harley’s York, PA facility.  Each CVO paint job is even more special though – each paint scheme has two main colors and at least one accent color plus pin striping on all parts of the bike. The seats and saddlebags are leather and custom designed with contrasting leather inserts. The seats have rider and passenger back rests for comfortable riding.  The bike has Harley-Davidson’s largest displacement engine, a V-Twin Twin Cam 110 cubic inch (1800 CC) high performance engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), electronic ignition, and electronic throttle control for trouble free fly by wire performance.  The engine is painted in granite finish with every conceivable part chromed and torque rated at 115 foot pounds at 3,000 RPM.  The sprocket also contains Harley’s Isolated Drive System that invisibly tames engine pulses making the ride even smoother than before.  The fully chromed wide glide front end has a large chrome quartz halogen Hiawatha headlight in a chrome nacelle while turn signals depend from the handlebars.  A few minutes idling gets the bike warmed and it can be ridden without hesitation.   The bike has Brembo ABS brakes which is a smart feature for a motorcycle.  The bike rides like a magic carpet with good shock absorption and excellent acceleration in all gears.  Of course they have metal Harley trim that integrates with the trim on the side covers of the bike.
