2008 Harley Davidson CVO Models – Motorbike Bicycle
With the CVO line as a launch pad HD has jumped to the forefront of motorcycle technology with its version of gas-by-wire electronic throttle control. This is a technology that only the surface in only a few high-performance sportbikes, Yamaha R1 has recently begun. But that’s not all. Not heard it here, literally, with the introduction of ABS. Both the gas-by-wire and ABS are the CVO Screamin ‘Eagle Road King, Screamin’ Eagle Ultra Classic Electra Glide Standard. ABS system is not an option on all 2008 Harley CVO Touring and VRSC models.

Delphi-developed anti-lock braking systems are independent (link) and in collaboration with Brembo brake calipers and master cylinders. By “magnetic code” hidden in the wheel hub and control system, all under one side of the body wall rather than hogging the space tucked in his saddle bags, ABS is very simple and invisible to the naked eye. Harley knows that appearance is very important for potential buyers of the CVO bikes. As such, they are there to make every effort to bicycles, a system that works well, but has any influence on appearance.
Because the anti-lock braking system works with standard brake calipers and master cylinders, using very few components and is not connected to the lever feel is most similar to the non-Harley ABS, and ABS activates only when absolutely necessary, within Unlike some systems that may have a tendency to slightly more upbeat.
There is a place to live during the press intro, I had the opportunity to test the ABS. In short, it is good as any system I’ve used, and found more than a few machines on a similar effort.
Talking about the technology found on other brands and types of bikes, Harley Electronic Throttle Control system ABS does not look as smooth. This picture also improved, never made themselves known to hesitate or sputter in refueling. Well done, Harley.
For those of you who do not know, stands for Custom Vehicle Operations CVO and his own line of custom Harley. Consists of four basic Harley (Dyna, Softail Springer, Road King and Electra Glide Ultra Classic), each wheel is rolling display thousands of accessories in the legendary Harley-Davidson Parts and Accessories Catalog is found. Covered in enough chrome to make Silver Surfer look like a rusty nail, this bike shine from head to tail.
Each CVO model get the jump-up Twin Cam 110 (introduced last year) and is the largest engine Harley offers, it is a six-speed Cruise Hard tranny connected. Road King and Ultra produce a claimed 115 ft-lbs of torque at 3,000 rpm, while the Dyna produces 105 foot-pounds at 3,000 revolutions per minute. Models Springer get Twin Cam 110B (B stands for balanced) and spits out 110 foot-pounds (five more than the previous model) at the same speed, thanks to the intake looks really heavy Breather individual.
Unique to the CVO line are custom colors and graphics. Each motor has three options with the painting is a celebration of 105 HD is the year of production. Crystal Copper and Black Onyx paint with gold leaf graphics can have on all four CVO models for a premium of $ 495 What’s more, each serial Anniversary Edition 105, and in limited production. A tasteful cloisonne displaying bicycle serial number is on the device. An additional note for the year 2008, the CVO-exclusive Granite finish drivetrain.
In the third year as a CVO model is the Screamin ‘Eagle Ultra Classic tour of all things, but with the spirit again! Because it is a luxury ship is loaded, the weight will be a factor. Slow speed parking maneuvers proved much a handful. Required to keep a little extra effort and attention to bicycles moving smoothly, or standing in this case, if you try to quickly turn around. Bike almost feels like having a hinge in the middle. But after the show on the road and the bike handles stress is good for something its size. After the additional torque make the biggest of the big factory Harley would help haul this American tourer own weight, the driver, front passenger and all they can cram into the pockets of hard cave.
Ultra is more than just a big engine and memory. This is a comfortable ride. Triangle rider well thought out and must remain one of the most fun in the saddle for days at a time. If a long distance ride is the name of the game you are happy you ship Ultra. Paste with facilities such as XM Radio, WB (weather band, not the TV studio effort), CB / intercom system, CD changer, Harmon / Kardon speaker system cruise control, heated seats, navigation system and must be so, a person has more than proven this, QE II from Harley.
